Trips and Events

To promote our section we will have member trips that will be beginner, intermediate and advanced based.  Youth programs will be included in this. We will organize volunteer trail, hut, or other maintenance work parties. There will be opportunities for personal development training courses with local ACMG Guides or with more experienced trip leaders for mentorship. Training and Leadership Programs will be on our top priority to educate trip leaders and members who are interested in furthering there mountain skill set.

  • November 26th 7-9pm Columbia Mountains Section Annual General Meeting (AGM) Whiteworth Lodge Revelstoke. Come out and join us for our fist AGM! If you have been wondering what our Section has been up to or you are thinking you might like to get involved going forward please come by and say hello.   • September 6th – October 12th. Youth. STOKED to announce our partnership with the City of Revelstoke offering the Natural Leaders Youth Program beginning this fall. First session is September 6th. The program will run for 6 weeks. The wonderful Jade Harvey will be leading the program and Ben Wilkey will be assisting. The program will consist of after school sessions on Fridays from 3:00 to 4:30 at the Revelstoke Community Centre. Hiking, wilderness skills, knot tying, campfire building, species identification. On Saturdays we will head outside and practice our skills. Highlights include an alpine hike to Joss Mountain on Sept 7th and an overnight stay at the Caribou Cabin on Mount Revelstoke on Sept 28th. For this national ACC initiative involving all 24 regional ACC sections we will be selecting a local crag or trail and host a volunteer clean up day.
