On Thursdays We Climb!
Join volunteer leaders on outdoor crags around Revelstoke to meet new climbing buddies, and learn new skills in a supportive environment every Thursday from late May – September. Experience requirements: None. Required Gear: Harness, helmet, shoes. Cost: We are pivoting back to a free model for climb nights this year, but you must register at the link below. This ensures we have time to check that you are in fact a member and have signed your waiver.
Once you have filled out the registration form below, we will add you to our WhatsApp group where we coordinate weekly location, rides and more.
Participants must be members of the Alpine Club of Canada – Columbia Mountains section, so join now to make sure your membership is current.

The ACC CMS provides:
- Volunteer leaders and coordinators to set up climbs, ensure anchors are secure, and keep participants safe and having fun!
- Climbing ropes
- Quick draws
- Anchor supplies
- Gri-Gri’s
- 2 spare harnesses and 2 spare helmets – please let us know if you want to borrow them beforehand!
- Thermacells! (The bugs are wild sometimes)
To participate in ACC CMS weekly climb nights, you must:
- Be a member in good standing of the Alpine Club of Canada – Columbia Mountains Section (ACC CMS)
- read and understand the ACC Member Code of Conduct.
- sign a current physical copy of our waiver provided by trip leader, to be signed at the beginning of the trip).
- Wear a Helmet at all times at the crag during climb night
- Have the necessary gear including helmet, climbing harness and shoes – let us know if you don’t have it and we will help you find some to borrow!
Safety Things!
- You must wear a Helmet at all times at the crag during climb night
- Sport climbing only! You can be a #traddad in your own time, but at climb nights we are sport climbing bros!
- Approved climb night leaders will set and check anchors at the beginning of the night, but if you want to lead a route, feel free to grab some draws from a leader, pull the rope and go for it.
Other Stuff:
- If you are comfortable cleaning routes, we would love your help at the end of the night – Let one of the leaders know if you are willing to help out.

- We encourage carpooling; Join the Whatsapp group to give and get rides!
- Keep an eye on our socials, and Whatsapp group to find out where the climb night is. We post to our feed every Monday evening, and send out a reminder in our stories every Wednesday morning!
- Some of us like to grab a pint afterwards at Rumpus! Its totally optional, but come join in the fun!
