Leaders

Our club leaders are eligible for pro deals! To apply, submit this form which will prompt an approval from our Secretary:

Coordinator: Can plan and lead trips in locations that can be served by ambulance or in locations that have their own on-call rescue staff (resort skiing, for example). Can also help coordinate trips in more demanding or remote terrain by partnering with an approved leader of that activity. Requirements: familiarity with club protocols and group leadership expereince

Hiking/ Backpacking + : Can plan and lead trips in locations that are more than an hour from definitive medical care and do not enter avalanche terrain. Requirements: Current first aid certificate, demonstrated backcountry navigation and trip planning skills, and group leadership ability.

Technical (Climbing, mountaineering, ski touring): Can plan and lead trips in backcountry locations that also require specialized activity-specific knowledge. Requirements: Same as Backpacking plus experience and certifications (where required) in the desired activity. Ski touring: AST II and more than 10 days touring in this region, backcountry snowshoeing: AST 1, Climbing: climb with an approved leadership committee member,
