2021 AGM

Our Annual General Meeting will be held in Revelstoke on Tuesday, November 16th at 5:30pm at the Community Centre.

We will discuss the past year and what can be expected for the coming season.

Proof of vaccination must be shown upon arrival and masks will be worn throughout the meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend our AGM. Memberships must be in good standing to make nominations and vote on any matters.

Board Positions to be Filled:

We are currently receiving nominations for the following positions on the Board. Any member can nominate a member, including themselves, by emailing info@acccolumbiamountains.com or in person at the AGM. Include a short letter of intent on who you are and why you would like to be part of the Board of Directors.

Chairperson – Duties include representing our section at National meetings and communicating between National and our board. This person also chairs board meetings including the AGM.

Secretary – Responsibilities includes administration and record keeping, including recording minutes at board meetings.

Communications Director – Role consists of communicating with the other directors to write and distribute regular newsletters, update the website, and post on social media channels.

Members at Large – Board members committed to serving the section with no specific duties.

Committee Positions Available:

Committee members are selected by the board to assist in specific areas of the club. Email or speak with any board member if you are interested in joining a committee.

Trails Committee – We have a number of trail projects to continue next summer. We are looking for members who have a knack for organizing and logistics to help schedule events and communicate with various parties involved.

Youth Committee – We are in need of a dedicated volunteer to help coordinate our youth events so we can continue to make climbing and mountaineering accessible to the kids in our communities.

Activities Committee – It’s a lot of effort planning and organizing trips, but many hands make light work. Join our activities committee to help split the load and receive discounts on the events you coordinate in exchange.
